Sometimes I don’t have the time to make everything from scratch and when I do, I reserve my kitchen experiments for the weekends,. So what’s a girl to do when she has little time on her hands and is craving some fudge-y brownies that don’t taste like cement? As some of you may know, gluten-free packaged products can sometimes be a hit or miss but luckily Hodgson’s Mill Brownie Mix which is made with Brown Rice Flour, Sorghum Flour, and Tapioca Starch is a hit. Although just to be on the safe side, I did add a little organic chocolate syrup to spruce it up ;)
Ingredients:
Hodgson’s Mill Gluten Free Brownie Mix
1 egg
1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter
2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup warm water
4 heaping Tablespoons of chocolate syrup (optional)
Bake for 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 176 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes
Top with coconut flakes, strawberries, chocolate syrup or other toppings of your choosing, and enjoy!
Oh I’ll have to look into that, thanks for the suggestion Kat!
I know it’s a life/time saver!
Gawd damn. That looks gooood. Have you tried making chocolate bean cake? No flour so it’s gluten-free. It came out delish the first time I made it (I subbed butter with coconut oil)
Yum, yum! Sounds delish! Great you can get gluten-free yumminess and a brownie-fix from a box : )
I know it can be hard, at first, but baby steps will get you there. Hope it helps:)
This could quiet possibly be the one item I need in my kitchen at this moment. I am currently in the middle of Gluten Free Hell, but staying optimistic as my family thrives. What a process. Thanks for the push the four of us at this house needed.
Haha aw sorry, didn’t think my brownie pic would cause such a problem. At least it’s a good problem to have and he’ll have sweet dreams, literally
That looks crazy good. So good that lil Z who had gone down for the day, sat up and took a look at the pic of the brownie and said, ‘Lets go make some cake, mommy’. Its gonna be hard now to convince him to let go off the brownie/cake dream and just sleep..
